The off-grid Refrigerator / Freezer

The refrigerator/freezer is about half the size of a normal unit.  So it should accommodate the groceries and beverages that need to be cold.

It runs on propane not electricity??
Yes that's right!  It is the only way to have refrigeration, off-grid, without a very large solar collector system.  Refrigeration uses A LOT of power.  But this unit uses only a small amount of propane.  From a tiny pilot-light-sized flame the fluids that do the magic of refrigeration are pumped around the pipes behind the refrigerator.
